WTF: Teamspeak Issues

Procell and I have had similar problems, it connects and times out after two seconds, worked if i kept trying though.

I got an IM about this from Fate just now. I rebooted the whole machine, which may have been overkill, going to check the firewall now and make sure everything is ok.

Seems the server has been crapping out a bit now. I think it may be a problem between my computers and the Comcast routers, cause not only is TS breaking but my connection in general goes to crap.

Hopefully it will resolve itself in a few days, till then try to use my TS server but if that fails you can use Procell's backup.

I changed the link at the top of the pages to point to both servers for status so if issues arise you can see whos in what server.

as always my TS is lokisplace.no-ip.com pw testme and Procell's is lokisplace2.no-ip.com with the same password.

Thanks again to Procell for helping out!

I'll be gone this week on Vacation so if problems arise or other drama you can get a hold of me by using the private messages on these boards.

I might be in and out of TS while on vacation so maybe I'll see you guys around.

Server is still acting up. As a possible fix I SWITCHED THE TS PORT.

Now connect to lokisplace.no-ip.com:9696 (or <IP Address>:9696).

The port was 8767 which was default and did not need to be specified. Now the 9696 will need to be.

Let's hope that solves our TS issues, cause it is a royal pain in the ass!!!!!

If not my buddy is going to let me set up TS on his connection (DSL, plus a game server or two) in the coming weeks.

Ok, I changed the NIC in the firewall to be on the safe side, maybe the card is broken or acting up.

This changed the IP address of Loki's Place so check your bookmarks. Procell already updated the .no-ip.com listings and I updated the other web addresses.

REMEMBER: you can always find TS by going to: http://www.thethoughtless.net/~loki and then checking the Teamspeak status on the top. The IP for my TS server won't be right (cause it reports the internal address) but it will show you the correct Port to use.

While I think at this point nothing will save my Cable connection its worth a shot trying to stabilize TS before I get DSL installed.
